On September 18th, RETORI, unveiled its debut collection, Chapter 01, at Milan Fashion Week. The event invited visitors to not just witness, but become a part of RETORI’s unfolding story, participating to the celebration of creativity and the fragments of life, self-discovery, authenticity and fulfillment, that connect us all.
Guests were welcomed into a contemporary art gallery space, invited to flow through an immersive journey in which the boundaries between visitors and performers blur and the interaction became a source of inspiration.
Daniela Portillo, the El Salvador-born artist whose personal story and art inspired RETORI’s Chapter 01 collection, shared her wisdom and visionary thinking in a talk with Salma Rachid, moderated by director and scenographer Fabio Cherstich. Laszlo Badet, a food designer, crafted a sensory culinary experience, while saxophonist and composer Bendik Giske filled the space with his transformative sounds. Berlin-based floral designer Lilo Klinkerberg sculpted organic, verdant shapes, blending them seamlessly into the environment.
The art piece by textile artist Diedrick Brackens, whose work weaves heritage and resilience into tapestries, further enriched the atmosphere and served as a key inspiration for the collection.
